The emergence of Spring – evokes stretching, cleaning, hoping, and a general good feeling. Life is busy busy these days with school and work at Cuppies and Joe. This semester seems to be something about humility. Last week, after a nearly failed drawing project I threatened to drop out of school. But is it not these aches and pains that make us stronger, more refined people? This is what I hear. Soon soon I hope to post some of my new art and new recipes!

A post to share a spattering of new ideas, words, and sounds.

Books to read: I have fallen in love with the characters of Anne Lamott’s books Rosie and Crooked Little Heart. They chronicle the tales of a mother and daughter as their lives encounter the nitty-gritty of life.

Spring Music: Beirut, Andrew Bird, Bon Iver’s Blood Bank, Into the Wild Soundtrack

And here’s a glimpse of me at work (happy spring pink hair!), how I love baking frosting and decorating cuppies!
